Latgalian Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Latgale region of eastern Latvia, home to its own distinct language and a centuries-old ceramic pottery tradition. Latgalian has its own long literary tradition and, for a period under Russian rule, was even printed in a different alphabet than standard Latvian, and the region has historically been more religiously and ethnically mixed than the rest of Latvia, shaped by centuries under different rulers than its neighbors. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
