In Eritrea, Tigrinya cradle songs known as ‘Aror’ (or ‘Graror’) are traditionally sung to a newborn in the first days of life, blending motherhood, blessing and lullaby into one. This original lullaby borrows that same tender ‘Aror’ call, set against Eritrea’s Red Sea coast and highland mist.
