Paraguayan Lullaby
A gentle lullaby inspired by Paraguay’s unique bilingual heritage, where Guaraní and Spanish have been woven together for centuries — including in the soft, unhurried songs sung to children at bedtime. Paraguay is one of the few countries in the Americas where an Indigenous language holds full official status alongside the colonial language, with Guarani constitutionally recognized equally with Spanish since 1992, and remarkably, the majority of Paraguayans, not just those of Indigenous descent, speak Guarani fluently, often blending the two languages together in everyday speech known as jopara.
Chords — guitar & piano
