What “Kalinago Lullaby” Means

The Kalinago people of Dominica’s east coast are the last surviving indigenous Carib community in the Caribbean, keeping alive traditions of dugout-canoe carving and basket weaving in the Kalinago Territory. This original lullaby draws on those canoe and basket-weaving images of Kalinago life.
