Sammarinese Lullaby (Three Towers, Watching)

Key: C~56 BPMGuitar & Piano chords

San Marino’s whole identity is built around Monte Titano, the mountain crowned with three medieval towers that has watched over the world’s oldest republic for over a thousand years, a fitting, gentle image for a child drifting off to sleep in its shadow.

What this song means

San Marino’s own Sammarinese dialect, a variant of Romagnol now rare enough that its first dictionary was only published in 2021, shares its song heritage with the Romagna and Marche countryside around it. Monte Titano and its three towers, the very symbol of San Marino itself, stand at the center of this lullaby as the watchful presence every Sammarinese child grows up under.

Inspired by the Romagnol-heritage lullaby tradition of the region surrounding San Marino’s own Monte Titano. The English lyrics are an original singable arrangement offered as a respectful tribute rather than a transcription of one specific archived song.
