Telemark Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by Telemark, the Norwegian region considered the birthplace of modern skiing. The telemark turn, a distinctive ski technique with one heel free, was pioneered here in the 1800s by Sondre Norheim, considered by many the father of modern skiing, and the region also boasts Rjukan, a town so deeply shadowed by surrounding mountains in winter that giant mirrors were installed on a nearby peak to reflect sunlight down into the town square. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
