Bedouin hospitality here often means being welcomed with strong, cardamom-scented coffee poured from a long-spouted dallah pot, and the peninsula is also home to Saint Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest continuously inhabited monasteries in the world, tucked at the foot of the mountains.
