A gentle lullaby inspired by Ecuador’s remarkable range of landscapes — from snow-capped Andean peaks to the Amazon rainforest to the Pacific shore, all within one small country. Ecuador takes its name from the equator itself, which runs directly through the country, marked today by a popular monument near Quito called Mitad del Mundo, the middle of the world, and Quito’s historic center was among the very first cities in the world to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, back in 1978.
