Ajam Emirati Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Ajam community of Persian descent who settled along Dubai and Sharjah’s coast, building the wind-tower houses of Al Bastakiya. Al Bastakiya takes its name from Bastak, a town in Iran that many of its original Persian merchant families came from, and the district’s distinctive barjeel wind towers, still standing today, worked as a natural form of air conditioning centuries before electricity, catching passing breezes and funneling cool air down into the rooms below. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
