From Stella Stellina, where the whole farmyard settles down for the night one animal at a time, to the classic refrain of Ninna Nanna Ninna Oh, to the Tuscan Ninna Nanna di Barberino and the southern Ninna Nanna Salentina sung in Salento dialect, Italian lullabies are tender, a little melancholy, and endlessly musical. We sing them from our studio in Tuscany, where these melodies were part of our own childhood.
