What “Nyenyaklah, Anakku” Means
Brunei’s capital is home to Kampong Ayer, one of the largest stilt-house settlements in the world, sometimes called the ‘Venice of the East,’ alongside the vast golden-domed palace of the Sultan. This original lullaby, in Malay (Brunei’s official language), borrows both, the water village and the glowing royal palace.
