Serer Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Serer people of Senegal, known for their distinct spiritual traditions and skilled farming along the coast and inland plains. Many Serer communities historically resisted pressure to convert to Islam for longer than some of their neighbors, preserving their own traditional religion, a ñeen, alongside deep agricultural knowledge, and the ancient stone circles scattered across parts of Senegal and Gambia, recognized by UNESCO in 2006, are linked by some historians to early Serer and related communities of the region. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
