Kazakh Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Kazakh people, nomadic herders of the vast steppe of Kazakhstan, long known for horsemanship and eagle hunting. The traditional Kazakh yurt, a collapsible felt tent built around a wooden lattice frame, can be assembled or taken down in just a few hours, a design refined over centuries to suit a nomadic life following herds across the open steppe, and much of Kazakh music and storytelling has long centered on the dombra, a simple two-stringed lute capable of carrying entire epic tales across generations.
