Kuy Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Kuy people, one of Cambodia’s largest Indigenous highland groups, living across the country’s northern forests. The Kuy have long been renowned as skilled elephant catchers and trainers, historically supplying elephants to Khmer royal courts, a tradition still remembered and occasionally practiced in Kuy communities today, and their language belongs to the Katuic branch of the Austroasiatic family, related to but distinct from Khmer.
