Bemba Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Bemba people, Zambia’s largest ethnic group, living across the northern plateau near the Copperbelt. Bemba has become something of a lingua franca across much of Zambia, spoken well beyond the Bemba homeland itself, and the community’s traditional leadership still centers on the Chitimukulu, a paramount chieftaincy dating back to a powerful pre-colonial kingdom that once dominated much of the region. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
