Najdi Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Najdi people of central Saudi Arabia, the historic heartland region around Riyadh. Najd’s deep isolation, surrounded by desert on every side, long shielded it from the outside influences that shaped Arabia’s coastal regions, and it was here that the first Saudi state was founded in the 18th century at Diriyah, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site just outside modern Riyadh, marking the historical birthplace of the modern Saudi nation.
