Druze Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Druze community of southern Syria, centered in the highlands of Jabal al-Druze. Jabal al-Druze takes its name from the community that settled there from the 18th century onward, seeking refuge in its rugged highlands, and in 1925 the region became the starting point of the Great Syrian Revolt against French Mandate rule, led by the Druze leader Sultan al-Atrash, a rebellion that spread across much of Syria before finally being suppressed. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
