Lanna Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Lanna Kingdom, centered on the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai, with its own distinct language, temples, and misty mountain landscape. The Lanna Kingdom was founded in 1292 and remained an independent, or semi-independent, power for centuries before being fully absorbed into Thailand only in the early 20th century, and Lanna’s own script, Tai Tham, distinct from central Thai writing, is still used today in temple manuscripts and ceremonial contexts across the north.
