Amazigh Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Amazigh (Berber) people, indigenous to North Africa and a significant part of Morocco’s population, especially in the Atlas Mountains. The Amazigh have their own ancient alphabet, Tifinagh, still used on road signs and in schools today, and their New Year, Yennayer, is celebrated with a feast weeks before the Gregorian calendar’s own January.
