Roma Lullaby

Roma Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Roma people of Romania, whose musical traditions of violin and song have shaped much of the region’s folk heritage. Roma musicians have long formed the backbone of Romania’s lautari tradition, hereditary families of professional folk musicians whose playing shaped much of the region’s musical identity, and Roma melodies also influenced classical composers like Liszt and Brahms, who drew on this rich tradition in their own work. Romania’s Roma community also endured centuries of enslavement, known as robie, within the Romanian principalities, only formally abolished in 1856. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
