The Maldives is the world’s lowest-lying country, an archipelago of nearly 1,200 coral islands and atolls scattered across the Indian Ocean, and Dhivehi is spoken nowhere else in the world. This original lullaby, in Dhivehi (romanized), borrows that same endless, calm ocean horizon.
