What “Ajam Qatari Lullaby” Means
The Ajam community of Persian descent in Doha built and traded dhows, the traditional wooden boats of the Gulf, and were central to the old Souq Waqif, once known as the “Irani Souq” for its Persian merchants during the pearling era. This original lullaby draws on those boat-building and old-market images of Ajam Qatari life.
