Greek Cypriot Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Greek Cypriot villages of the Troodos Mountains, known for handmade halloumi cheese and centuries-old olive groves. Ten small Byzantine churches scattered across the Troodos Mountains, their painted interiors remarkably preserved, were together added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1985, and in 2021 halloumi itself gained EU-protected status, officially recognizing what Cypriots had always known: the cheese belongs to this island.
