Jeju Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by Jeju Island off Korea’s southern coast, home to a distinct dialect and the haenyeo, the island’s legendary free-diving women. The haenyeo dive without oxygen tanks, some well into their seventies, holding their breath for minutes at a time to gather shellfish from the seafloor — a UNESCO-recognized tradition now carried mostly by grandmothers, passed down through generations of women. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
