Gyeongsang Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Gyeongsang region of southeastern Korea, heartland of the ancient Silla kingdom, with its own distinctive dialect and mountain temples. Silla, centered in what is now Gyeongsang, unified the Korean peninsula in 668 CE and went on to become the longest-reigning dynasty in Korean history, lasting nearly a thousand years, and its capital, Gyeongju, still preserves that legacy today as a UNESCO World Heritage site scattered with royal tombs and ancient temples. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
