Tigrinya Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Tigrinya-speaking people of northern Ethiopia’s highlands, home to ancient rock-hewn churches and a cultural history stretching back to the Kingdom of Aksum. The Tigrinya language is written in Ge’ez script, one of the world’s oldest writing systems still in daily use, and the towering carved obelisks of ancient Aksum still stand today as a reminder of a kingdom that once traded across the Red Sea. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
