Hazara Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Hazara people of Afghanistan’s central highlands, a region of high valleys, terraced fields, and a distinct Persian dialect. The Hazara heartland in central Afghanistan is also home to the Bamiyan valley, once home to two towering ancient Buddha statues carved into a cliffside more than 1,500 years ago, a reminder of the deep Buddhist history that predates the region’s now predominantly Muslim Hazara communities, most of whom follow Shia Islam.
