Kashubian Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Kashubian people of Poland’s Baltic coast, known for their own West Slavic language, colorful folk embroidery, and the lake-dotted region called Kashubian Switzerland. Kashubian gained official status as a regional language in Poland in 2005, a rare distinction for a minority tongue in the country, and the hilly, lake-dotted landscape locals call Kashubian Switzerland earned its nickname for looking, at least to some early visitors, remarkably like the real thing.
