What “Dodo, Dodo, Mon Piti” Means
The Seychelles is home to the coco de mer, a palm tree that produces the world’s largest seed and grows almost nowhere else on Earth, and to some of the world’s only granite (rather than coral) islands. This original lullaby, in Kreol Seselwa (the Seychellois Creole spoken across the islands), borrows both of these unique natural wonders.
