What “Hush Now, Little Rock” Means

Gibraltar’s limestone Rock rises steeply from the sea, home to Europe’s only wild population of Barbary macaques, and sits exactly where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. This original lullaby, in English (spoken alongside the local Llanito dialect), borrows both, the resident monkeys and the meeting of two seas.
