Gorani Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Gorani people of Kosovo’s mountainous Gora region, traditionally shepherds and, for generations, itinerant pastry-makers known throughout the Balkans. For generations, Gorani men traveled widely across the Balkans as seasonal pastry-makers and bakers, sometimes called burekxhi, setting up shop far from home before returning to the mountains each year, and the Gora region itself straddles the modern borders of Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia.
