Kalinago Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Kalinago people of Dominica’s east coast, the last surviving indigenous Carib community in the Caribbean. The Kalinago Territory was formally established in 1903, setting aside roughly 3,700 acres of self-governed land, and Kalinago craftsmen still carve traditional canoes from the trunk of a single gommier tree, a skill passed down through many generations. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
