Tuareg Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Tuareg people of northern Mali, nomadic desert dwellers found around Timbuktu and the wider Sahara. Tuareg men, not women, are the ones who wear the veil — a length of indigo cloth called a tagelmust, wrapped again and again until only the eyes show, its dye said to have colored their skin just enough to earn them the name “the blue people.” Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
