❓ FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents ask us most often. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, write to us from the Get in Touch page!

👶 Are lullabies suitable for newborns?

Yes, our lullabies are suitable for newborns of any age, from the very first day of life. They are composed and recorded with real acoustic instruments — without harsh digital sounds or sudden transitions — so they are gentle and safe even for the most sensitive nervous systems. Many parents use them in the hospital, right after birth.

🤗 Is the music generated with artificial intelligence?

Absolutely not. Every note you hear has been played by hand by real musicians in our analogue studio in Tuscany, since 2015. We do not use artificial intelligence, generative software or pre-recorded loops. This is our most important difference: real music, made by real people, for children who deserve the best.

How long can I let my child listen to the music?

There is no precise limit, but paediatricians suggest using music as a sleep routine rather than as continuous background throughout the day. Our tracks are designed to last 30–60 minutes — the time needed to fall asleep — and can be used for both the evening bedtime and the afternoon nap. The important thing is that the child does not depend on music to fall back asleep independently.

🌞 Can I use lullabies for the afternoon nap?

Absolutely! Our lullabies work great for the afternoon nap too. Many parents use the same track every day as an audio cue that helps the child understand it is time to sleep — both at night and in the afternoon. Consistency helps build healthy sleep habits.

🎨 Are the coloring pages really free?

Yes, our coloring pages are completely free, with no registration required. You can download, print and use them as many times as you like. We created them to offer families a creative activity that complements the musical experience — because we believe that play and music go hand in hand.

🎥 Where can I find the lullabies?

Our lullabies are available for free on YouTube (channel @RelaxInNoTime, 76M+ views) and on Spotify as the artist “Relax in No Time”. On our website you can also find the Lullaby Library, with over 3,600 tracks organised by instrument and style.

🎵 How many lullabies do you have in your catalogue?

Our library contains 3,644 original tracks, built over 11 years of recordings in our studio in Tuscany. We cover every instrument and every style: classical piano, acoustic guitar, violin, flute, harp, and much more. It is the largest collection of handplayed lullabies in the world.

🧠 Does music really help children fall asleep?

Yes, numerous scientific studies confirm that slow, melodic music lowers the heart rate, reduces cortisol (the stress hormone) and promotes melatonin production. Music played with real acoustic instruments is particularly effective because the natural micro-variations in sound have a superior calming effect compared to perfectly regular digital sounds.

🌿 Where are you from? Who are you?

We are a small team of musicians and parents based in Tuscany, Italy. We founded Relax in No Time in 2015 with a simple mission: to create real music for children, played with real instruments, in an analogue environment. Today our community counts over 277,000 families around the world.

💕 Do lullabies work for children with sleep difficulties?

Many parents tell us that our lullabies have helped children with sleep difficulties, colic or high sensory sensitivity. Live acoustic music is less stimulating than digital sounds and adapts better to more sensitive children. However, for persistent sleep difficulties, we always recommend speaking with your paediatrician.
