Gorali Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Gorali highlanders of Slovakia’s Tatra mountains, known for pastoral sheep-herding and richly embroidered wool clothing. Gorali communities live on both sides of the Slovak-Polish border across the Tatra mountains, sharing closely related dialects, dress, and highland traditions despite the modern boundary between them, and their distinctive folk music has drawn the attention of composers over the years, who found in it a raw, mountain-forged sound unlike anything in the lowlands.
