Gujarat Lullaby Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by Gujarat, India’s western state known for the mirrored embroidery of Kutch and the vast white salt desert of the Rann. Every winter, the salt desert hosts the Rann Utsav, a festival of moonlit camping, folk music and dance, and Gujarat is also considered the birthplace of garba, a dance performed in wide spinning circles during the autumn festival of Navratri. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.

What “Gujarat Lullaby” Means

Ba is a Gujarati word for mother, spoken across Gujarat, home to the vast white salt desert of the Rann of Kutch and the intricate mirrored embroidery for which the region is famous. This original lullaby draws on those salt-desert and mirrored-embroidery images of Gujarati heritage.
