Nubian Lullaby (Egypt) Lyrics. An original lullaby inspired by the Nubian communities of southern Egypt, known for their brightly painted houses along Lake Nasser near Aswan. Nubian families paint their homes in bold turquoise, ochre, and rose for weddings and homecomings, and many still speak their own ancient Nubian language, passed down long before Arabic arrived along the Nile. Here you will find the lyrics, meaning, and chords.
