“Jajangga” simply means “lullaby” in Korean — and nearly every Korean grew up hearing some version of one, hummed low and slow by a parent or grandparent at bedtime, carrying the same wish in every home: sleep well, and grow up loved.

What this song means
In Korean, jajangga (자장가) is both a specific song and a whole category of song — every family seems to have its own small variation, often built around the repeated, soothing syllables “jaja jaja,” rocked in rhythm with the cradle. It is less a single fixed text than a living tradition, reinvented quietly in every household, generation after generation.
Traditional Korean lullaby style. The English lyrics are an original singable arrangement offered as a respectful tribute to the jajangga tradition.
