Why We Never Use AI Voices
Every lullaby on this site is sung and played by real people, on real instruments, in a small studio in Tuscany — never a synthetic or AI-generated voice. Here’s why that distinction matters to us, and to the babies falling asleep to it.
Handplayed, not generated
Real instruments
Every guitar, piano and voice you hear is performed live by an actual musician — not sampled, not synthesized, not generated by a model.
Real voices
The singers on this site are real people with real breath, real imperfections and real warmth — not a text-to-speech engine trained to sound “soothing.”
One small studio
Everything is recorded in the same small studio in Tuscany, by the same close-knit team, song after song — not outsourced to an algorithm at scale.
The case for doing it the slow way
A lot of “lullaby” content today isn’t actually played by anyone
Streaming platforms are increasingly filled with AI-generated lullaby tracks: instrumentals stitched together by software, vocals synthesized from a text prompt, entire “albums” produced in minutes with no musician ever picking up an instrument. It’s fast and cheap to make — but it isn’t music made by a person, for your child.
Live performance carries something a model can’t fake
A real musician’s timing drifts slightly from beat to beat. A real singer’s breath shapes every phrase. These small, human imperfections are exactly what make a performance feel alive rather than looped — something generative audio tools are still trying to approximate, not something they start from.
We’d rather move slowly and stay honest about it
Building this library the handplayed way is slower than generating tracks at scale. That’s the trade-off we’ve chosen: fewer songs, released more carefully, each one actually performed by someone who cared about getting it right — and each one clearly, honestly labeled as such.
“Authentic, No-AI lullabies recorded with real instruments in the heart of Tuscany.”
Frequently asked questions
No. Every vocal and every instrument you hear on this site is performed live by a real musician, not synthesized or generated.
Some behind-the-scenes tools may assist with research or site content, but the music itself — every note you hear — is always human-performed.
That’s ultimately a personal choice for every family. For us, it comes down to wanting the songs a child falls asleep to be something a real person actually made, with the same care lullabies have carried for generations.
